This class offers an introduction to Scratch Jr, a visual coding language developed by computer scientists at MIT. It uses blocks with built-in functions that control movement, sounds, language and visuals. Learn to program your own character and make that character move, dance, speak and more using drag and drop commands. Note: This class requires an App that is downloaded on a tablet. OR. Using both online and offline activities, this class introduces students to the basic elements of computer science and the visual coding language, Scratch. Have fun figuring out how to problem solve the challenges of coding and learn to think like a computer science engineer.
